About ProfitKit

ProfitKit is a small set of free calculators for people selling online and working freelance. It exists because most profit "calculators" either demand an email address before showing a result, hide the fee assumptions they used, or quote fee rates that were correct two years ago.

How these tools work

Every calculation runs as JavaScript in your own browser. There is no account, no server-side processing, and no database. Your figures are never transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere for them to go — closing the tab discards them.

How fee defaults are chosen

Where a platform publishes a rate in its own documentation, we use that figure and link to the source on the page. Where a rate varies by country, category or plan — payment processing on Etsy, referral fees on Amazon — we say so plainly rather than printing one number as if it were universal, and every fee field is editable so you can enter your real rate.

Rates change. Nothing here should be treated as current without checking the platform's own fee page, which is why those links are on every relevant page.

How this site is funded

Advertising. The calculators are free and stay free. We do not sell your data, because we never receive it.
